Stand Up Guys and Children’s Restoration Network
Stand Up Guys is teaming up with Children’s Restoration Network of Roswell to help donate toys to less fortunate children. Children’s Restoration Network works with 130 shelters and group homes in 20 counties around metro Atlanta. They house over 2,700 children each night and over 4,000 children each year. Even though they work year round, we thought it would be best to help around the holidays to make the children’s Christmas more special.
We were told about the organization from a family friend and we wanted to help the less fortunate, especially if we have the ability to do so. We soon contacted a representative for the foundation and figured out ways we could best help. Cory was very helpful in helping us figure our which route to take. So we have designated two pick up days that we will come to your door and load up anything you are willing to donate. December 17 and 18 will be our days to fully commit to the cause.
If you want to contribute, we will be picking up in the Marietta, Smyrna, Roswell, Woodstock and Alpharetta areas. All you have to do is pick up the phone and give us a call at 770-369-0305 and let us know what you have and we will schedule the time to come out an pick up your donatable items. Our jolly good fellows Mr. Corey Gatlin and David Gutierrez will be our guys on the road so make sure to give them a honk if you see them driving our baby blue dump truck!
Stand Up Guys have been looking to better their community and have found the perfect way for us to utilize our resources. We are able to use our trucks to do pick ups, especially the families that have more donations that would fit in a normal SUV. Also, our company reaches over 60 homes a week which will help spread the word for Children’s Restoration Network and hopefully help out the cause in our own way. We will be able to pick up toys for customers that had no idea about the organization and we can deliver the toys in person.
We also looked into other foundations but found this is helping local families and since we are a local company, we thought it was a perfect match. We come across toys all the time and have collected our own ‘box’ full of toys as well. We have an advantage that plays right into this organization and it would be a shame if nothing came of it.
Don’t forget, this organization is year round, not just for the holidays. If you would like to know more information or would like to get involved, please go to http://childrn.org/.
