Splash pad

Kit Land Nelson Park Forest Ave Apopka features a splash pad and playground with a seaplane play structure. The splash pad is enclosed and gated, with two small slides and several interactive water features. This park also offers a covered pavilion and is within walking distance of several local restaurants. During the summer, the splash pad is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

The splash pad offers separate areas for toddlers and older kids. Features include a Mega Soaker, Splash Blasters, Fun-Brella, and Spray Tunnel. There are also picnic tables, gazebos, and racquetball courts. The Apopka splash pad is open weekends and is free for children under three and free for families with kids. The covered picnic area at Kit Land Nelson Park is a beautiful place to bring your family for a picnic. This 5-acre space is also home to a gazebo, playground, and tennis & racquetball courts. Families can relax in the gazebo or take in the scenic view of the surrounding forest.

Originally called City Park, this park was renamed after Katherine “Kit” Land Nelson, the sister of former Mayor John Land. She was a big supporter of local parks and was an active member of the Apopka Woman’s Club. This park offers several picnic tables, restrooms, and a splash pad. There is also plenty of room for your dog to play.

The Kit Land Nelson Park offers many amenities to its visitors. This five-acre park features tennis & racquetball courts, a playground, picnic area, and gazebo. It is located near Apopka’s downtown core. A family-friendly facility, it is a great place to play tennis or racquetball.

Museum of the Apopkans

Located at 122 East Fifth Street, the Museum of the Apopkans features exhibits that highlight the history of Northwest Orange County and Apopka. The museum is operated by the Apopka Historical Society. The museum is free and open to the public.

The museum houses dozens of exhibits from the area’s history. It contains items like maps of the area and early settlers’ photographs. You can also see vintage clothing worn by people in Apopka years ago.
