Getting Rid of an Old Television

So you finally got the new flat screen you wanted and now are looking to get rid of your old television. Dumping your old television set at your local landfill or transfer station is NOT the safest way to dispose of you T.V. set.

Believe it or not, there are actually harmful materials in T.V. sets, such as toxic lead. In the projection, circuit boards and even the screen contain toxic materials. Exposure to large amounts of these materials can be very hazardous to your health.

If you decide not to DIY, making sure the guys dispose of you television correctly is important. There are many recycling centers in the Metro Atlanta area, but they do not take full T.V.’s.
