First of all, we all know how much we hate to have piles of debris in our yards. Without us even knowing, fallen branches and leaves can fill up the front and back yard. And maybe every once in a while, you will go out there yourself and attempt collect some of the debris. This can be too much for some of us though, we all live busy lives so it’s hard find the time to clean up debris in the yard on a regular basis.

Before you know it though, you could have a 5ft high pile of debris that’s only getting bigger with time. This is a no-no. It even makes it easier for them to enter your home. Having pests in your home creates a whole new problem and can be very dangerous and costly if you have to get exterminators to come.

This might be the biggest reason of all, the potential of a fire. A debris or brush pile is a ready base of fuel for fires to start spreading. Just in the U.S. alone, millions of acres of land are burned up from wildfires each year. Especially if you home is surrounded by forest, which is most of us here in Metro Atlanta. Debris piles make an easy path to your home. Removing limbs and branches helps out the fire fighters by creating a clear path. Clearing yard waste increases the chance of saving a burning building.
