I attended Pope High School until 2002. After high school I attended Chattahoochee Tech for 2 years. I have worked in all areas of business and was never able to find something that made me truly happy. I was a manager for a major retail distributor for 4 years and thought I had found my niche. As soon as i was feeling comfortable and at home, the economy could no longer support my position and I was forced to search for new employment.
In my search for a new career I decide to think ‘outside the box’. Not long after, I came across a guest ranch in Stanley, Idaho. After a couple of phone interviews, I happily accepted a job for the summer of 2011. I spent the next four months living my dream. Each day was filled with amazing scenery, wildlife and fresh air. I spent my days fishing, hiking and camping, all of which I can’t live without. I was able to make some great memories and lifelong friends, which I am truly grateful for. Due to extreme winter condition, the ranch is only able to operate for the summer months and I was back in Georgia to take my next step.
During my time away, I kept in tough with a fellow crew member, Carson. Upon my return home I called him and told him I would like to come and work for the Stand Up Guys. After a week of unpacking and getting settled in, I began my new career with Carson and Casey. I have been a proud member of the team since October of 2011 and could not be happier. This company has grown substantially since I have been here and I know Casey has something going here. I look forward to everyday and can’t wait to see what the future has in store, but I’m sure it’s going to something great.
Over the first few years of his tenure with Stand Up Guys, Ross quickly made it apparent to us, our customers and everyone around that he was a notch above his peers. Ross was the best at what he did, no matter what he was doing. It was clear that when the time came, Ross would be an amazing Branch Manager and we couldn’t have been happier than when that day finally arrived.
When the opportunity for Stand Up Guys to open up a location in Nashville, TN came up, Ross jumped all over it. We put together the plans and within a few months Ross packed up his things and headed north for the Music City! What preceded was simply amazing, but not much of a surprise. Our Nashville Branch went on to break pretty much every record we had for new locations. Three years later and nothing has changed. Nashville is our pride an joy and we couldn’t be happier than to have Mr. Ross Lawrence at the helm.
