The farm was formerly a breeding operation until 2004 when it was purchased by the City of Franklin. Since then, the 200-acre farm has been transformed into a park. Many locals enjoy picnicking, hiking, and walking on the grounds. The park includes a three-acre pond, a soft-surface five-kilometer walking track, and 200 acres of rolling farmland.
